If you're a Veteran in Sun City Center, this message is for you. On Tuesday, January 23rd, Florida Governor Rick Scott will
be at Sun City Center Community Hall to personally present the "Governor's Veterans Service Award" to any legal resident of
Florida who is currently serving honorably or has been honorably discharged as a member of the Armed Forces,
Coast Guard, National Guard, the Reserve Forces, or the Merchant Mariners with veteran status.
Registration will take place from 8:30 to 10 AM with the presentation ceremony immediately following. Getting your award is a two-step process:
1) You must register. Click on this link to take you to the registration page: Click Here to register.
2) When you have completed step 1, print the form at this link: Click Here for the form.
Fill out the form in its entirety.
Veterans receiving the award must provide identification that validates their status: a DD-214, VA ID card, Military ID or driver's license with the V designation on it. The ceremony is open to the public. Having both of these items completed will speed up the registration process. Applications are also available at the Atrium Kiosk or the CA office.
